Our Philosophy

Software that stays out of your way. No onboarding wizards, no social features, no analytics tracking your word count. Just a clean space to write.

Your work stays on your machine. We don't store your manuscripts, we don't require an account, and we never will. Privacy is the baseline.

What We're Building

Spex Opus is just the beginning. We're building a suite of tools that cover the entire writing process, from first draft to finished manuscript. Every tool we ship will follow the same principles: focused, private, and free to use.

We don't chase trends. We talk to writers, we listen to what's missing, and we build it. If a feature doesn't make your writing better, it doesn't ship.

Spex Studios isn't backed by venture capital. We don't answer to investors or advertisers. We answer to the people who use our software.
